2012 IZOD IndyCar Series
The IZOD IndyCar Series plans on introducing a new chassis and engine package in 2012, after what will be nine years of its existing car and motor programs. A monumental change such as this, however, should also be looked at as an opportunity to retool and restructure the series, so as to give it a fresh identity. The goal is to bring the IZOD IndyCar Series to some of the biggest racing markets in North America, and re-establish the legitimacy of open wheel racing in the past.
